Personal Ayurvedic Consultations

During a personal Ayurvedic consultation, the practitioner not only looks at the symptoms of the disease but tries to identify the root of the cause. This includes identifying the constitution of the patient and then finding which dosha (constitution) is out of balance, the strength of the digestive fire and immune system, and the proper functioning of tissues, channels and excretory apparatus. State of mind and spirit are also important factors that are addressed as they are involved in most disease processes. Thus, Ayurveda not only treats the symptoms, but also delves into the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual circumstances to fully eradicate the disease and offer the patient a full understanding of it.

  • Initial consultations include:
  • Identification of your personal constitution and current imbalances
  • Nutritional evaluation
  • Thorough conversation on medical history, current symptoms and imbalances, lifestyle, quality of sleep, diet, and patterns of behavior.
  • Examination of pulse, face, nails, skin, and tongue
  • Personalized diet based on personal constitution and current imbalances
  • Daily balancing routine based on personal constitution and current imbalances
  • Personalized exercise routine based on personal constitution and current imbalances
  • Recommendations on Ayurvedic herbs and compounds (if necessary), therapeutic oils, home remedies, and relaxation techniques.

Karma-logy (spiritual counseling)

Karma-logy is a technique that allows us to unravel the complex situation designed by the Spirit allowing us to see the real cause of our sufferings and the lesson that needs to be learned. Then, you will learn how to manage these situations when they reoccur and, if needed, a plan to manifest the life that you are intended to live.

Panchakarma is meant to purify the whole body by eliminating the accumulated toxins from it. It is also believed to have a rejuvenating effect when it is subject to a healthy person. Panchakarma, which in Sanskrit stands for five therapeutic actions, is a cleansing and rejuvenating program for body, mind and consciousness. Although the therapeutic measures may appear quite simple, its effects are extremely powerful to the point that Ayurveda considers it necessary before the beginning of any other therapy. The logic behind this is that the body needs to be cleansed from all impurities before being exposed to a rejuvenation program, just as you would do with any garment before dying it with a new color or a piece of furniture before being polished.

Marma Therapy

What is Marma

A marma is a vital energy point located on the surface of the body. Like modern quantum physics, Ayurveda holds that the human being is not a solid, stable, material structure but an ever-changing, dynamic collection of energy and intelligence in the larger field of the universe. Ayurveda texts have described 107 major marmani, which are infused with Prana, the life force, and imbued with consciousness. Marmani serve as a bridge or doorway between the body, mind, and soul.

Marmani are normally located at anatomical sites where veins, arteries, tendons, bones or joints intersect. Most of them correspond to principal acupoints in Chinese medicine. Pain or tenderness at the side of the marma is the body’s way of conveying that there is some weakness, impurity or imbalance in the aspect of the body associated with that marma point. Pressure applied to the marma kindles dhatu agni (tissue fire), burns ama (toxins), and breaks down crystals of unresolved emotions.

About Marma Therapy

Marma therapy is the precise art of touching a person in exactly the right place at a critical moment in time for the purpose of healing. A marma session takes between 45 and 60 minutes.

Marma therapy may be used to:

  • Calm the mind and release unexpressed or unresolved emotions
  • Stimulate pranic flow to weak organs, increasing energy and relieving organ stress
  • Pacify or stimulate a dosha depending on the imbalance.
  • Maintain tissue’s normal functions and treat specific disorders in terms of immunity, vitality, strength, lubrication, support, coordination or sexual energy.
  • Regulate channel functions and disturbances such as overflow and stagnation.
  • Alleviate pain by increasing the flow of Prana
  • Activate the energy of a corresponding chakra
